The monumental Kufic script is the oldest style of Arabic calligraphy, notable for its use in early Qur’an manuscripts and characterised by angular, geometric shapes of letters. It evolved into many variants, one of them being the square Kufic that is often used in architectural decoration, with letters composed exclusively of square shapes. In our Four Elements collection, the renditions of the words air, fire, earth, and water in square Kufic script have been designed especially for MISHKĀ.
